Devoted to Helping Virginians with Disability Benefits Claims

Scott became "of counsel" to the Gilette Law Group, PLLC, in 2010. He is a frequent lecturer on the topic of disability benefits. Scott is often called upon by practitioners and bar associations nationwide to lend his advice to topics in disability benefits law and related issues.

He served as co-chair of the ERISA, Health, and Disability Insurance Litigation Group of the American Association for Justice (AAJ). In fact, Scott is a founding attorney of the Social Security Disability Law Section of AAJ and continues to serve on its Executive Board. He also served as the co-chair for the Social Security Disability Section of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association from 2006 to 2007.

Scott also possesses an extensive educational background. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Union College in Schenectady, NY, in 1987. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, he earned a Master's of Forensic Sciences from George Washington University in 1989 and then his law degree from Catholic University Law School in 1992.

To remain knowledgeable, he is constantly reading medical, marketing and other articles and books in his ongoing mission to represent his clients to the best of his ability and to stay ahead of the competition. When Scott isn’t representing clients before the Social Security Administration, he enjoys scuba diving and playing baseball and basketball.
